Local non profit seeks part time accounting/admin

Immediate part time position (25 hours/week) with full time potential exists for an Administrative/Accounting Assistant with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) in Saratoga Springs.

Duties include:

• Answering telephone for 6 staffers
• Respond to email inquiries, schedule volunteers, process daily mail
• Manage online store process including ordering merchandise, inventory control and process/ship orders
• Organize annual 990 fillings for multiple states
• Transcribe Board & Committee meeting recordings, assist CEO with Board communication & material send outs
• Bank reconciliations monthly
• Accounts Payable functions, 1099 vendor maintenance & year-end preparation
• Donor data entry and report generation

The successful candidate will be a hands on individual who possesses an accounting background, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and able to effectively support administratively a staff of 6 as needed. Experienced in data entry, Microsoft suite and website maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess Equine knowledge in addition to the above. Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
